As part of my research into health care I went to go see the doctor myself.

  1. I am eager to see the narrative account of your performance as a patient. something disconnected bet the set up of your anticipated visit, and the result – which was a blook report. or is this your point? you are nothing but a blood report?

    • it’s interesting thinking about your comment. if you read the comment i made to your last comment you saw i am interested in telling people’s personal healthcare stories, but upon reflecting on this comment, i realized i’m avoiding telling my own story. for more than a year now i’ve been having problems with my heart, where all the sudden i’ll lose my breath, my pulse will stop for a moment, than after a second or two i’ll return to normal. in class you may remember me saying that i don’t go see a doctor ever. well, i finally went to get this checked out. they ran an EKG, and did bloodwork. both checked out fine. the bloodwork indicated my circulatory system is in fine shape. it was also the only sort of ‘residue’ they gave me coming out of the appointment. so i put it up on my blog. they are forwarding me to a cardiologist for further testing.

  2. Thinking it about a little more, I realized I do actually feel like that within the healthcare system, I am just a set of numbers ultimately.
